The Return of Goldilocks

The Return of Goldilocks sees a now grown woman returning to the woods where she met the three bears as a child.  This time, however, it’s not just the cottage she’ll be trying to exploit but the whole forest.

Goldilocks works for a government with a rubbish problem, literally. Newly qualified, she’s dispatched from the city back to her hometown to survey the local woods and find a spot for a new landfill.  But she’s not the only one who has grown up, and Baby Bear, now herself a mother, is determined to protect the forest that has always been her home.

Devised by a Storyteller & Secondary Science Teacher, this workshop will see students introduced to the grown-up version of characters they already know before being taken through a story woven with threads of ecology, all linked to the national curriculum.  Having heard from both Goldilocks and Mummy Bear, the students will then have the chance to devise and tell their own ending of the story.
