About the event
Come join Story Storks, as they retell the mostly traditional tale of Dick Whittington. But we’ll also learn the truth behind the legend, who he really was, how he really travelled to London (through Kingston on a boat – no I’m not making it up!) and how his great deeds gave rise to the story that we still tell today.
Full of fun, laughter, phonics, counting, dance, and song, this interactive workshop is a magical blend of local history and legend combined into beautiful storytelling that will have little ones entranced, grown-ups in stitches and everyone feeling a little bit more connected to the local river.
The storytelling will be followed by an arts and crafts workshop where kids will get the chance to make storytelling props of their own.Â
